Find the right projector for you ↓Picking a projector — what matters
- Brightness (lumens): 300–500 ANSI for a dark room and small objects; 1000+ ANSI for living rooms/events.
- HDMI input or Android TV / Google TV built in (for Wireless Cast) — or AirPlay.
- Throw ratio: short-throw fills a wall from close; long-throw for shelves and small props from across the room.
- Keystone/auto-focus are nice but not needed — Lazy Lighting corrects the geometry itself.

- Anker Nebula Capsule 3 ↗ — the projector we use with Lazy Lighting. Android TV built in, so it casts without a cable. The all-round pick.
- Budget projector ↗ — good for getting started. Indoors in a dark room, even cheap projectors map well.
- Bright projector (3000+ lumens) ↗ — for mapping a house or a large wall outdoors, where brightness is the thing you cannot fake in software.
