Information collected by this website
Our hosting and security providers process standard request information, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp, and security signals, to deliver and protect the site. Our first-party measurement records aggregate events such as page category, campaign link, article, store destination, locale, coarse country, device category, and interaction type. We do not place raw IP addresses, full user-agent strings, names, or email addresses in our analytics event dataset.
Analytics services
We use Cloudflare for privacy-focused traffic, performance, and aggregate campaign measurement. Cloudflare may process request information as our service provider. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may also measure page visits, referral and campaign information, article engagement, and app-store clicks using cookies or similar identifiers. You can allow analytics without allowing advertising storage, allow both, or decline both. When optional measurement is declined, Google receives denied Consent Mode signals and no analytics or advertising cookies are set by this site.
Campaign and app-store attribution
Links such as /links/insta attach standardized campaign information so we can compare traffic from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, newsletters, QR codes, and other placements. App Store and Google Play links may contain campaign or install-referrer parameters. Apple, Google, and the relevant store process resulting product-page, download, and purchase information under their own privacy policies.
Page experiments and app funnel measurement
Some pages, such as the links page, may show one of several layouts so we can learn which works best. A small first-party cookie (ll_exp) remembers only the layout letter you were shown for up to 90 days; it contains no identifier and is not used for advertising. The layout letter may accompany app-store and partner links so that downloads and sign-ups can be counted per layout. The Lazy Lighting apps may report a few product milestones, such as first launch, first saved template, first projection, and purchase, to lazylighting.com together with a random per-install identifier that the app generates. This identifier is not an advertising identifier and is not linked to your name, email address, or account.
How we use information
We use aggregate measurement to improve articles, search visibility, website performance, download journeys, and the Lazy Lighting product. We do not sell personal information. We do not send names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.
Retention and access
Cloudflare Analytics Engine event data is retained for up to three months. Longer-term analytics and search data may be retained in access-controlled reporting systems such as Google Analytics and BigQuery according to our configured retention settings and business or legal needs. Access is limited to people who operate and improve Lazy Lighting.
Affiliate and third-party links
The site contains links to the App Store, retailers such as Amazon, and other third-party sites. Some are affiliate or tracking links that may result in commission or attribution benefits.
Your choices
You can allow or decline optional analytics when prompted and reopen Analytics preferences from this page. You can also limit cookies through your browser or device settings. Global Privacy Control signals are treated as a denial of optional analytics storage.
Data security and contact
We use reasonable measures to protect information, though no method is completely secure. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@lazylighting.com.
